Stormy days, my latest updates.

Since the weather has not been very uplifting lately I have been hearing so much complaints about it. But you know what just because it's gloomy (which I absolutely love) doesn't mean your day can't be fun. Since this rainy spell has bestowed upon us, I have enjoyed spending my time catching up on some of my sketching, as well as cleaning. I went through my whole room one night and cleaned out all my drawers and closet, the things I have been dying to do (and I'm so glad I finally did). It feels good to know that my room not only looks clean, but behind every loop hole it actually is clean too. I snatched up some fashion finds, which were at a great price too. Mark and I also enjoyed playing a few games together. We played 20 questions and we actually asked the same question at the same time, it was silly, I guess we're starting to think the same now haha... Anyways besides that I had some delicious meals I wanted to share this week. All fresh and healthy. I tried making hummus without tahini and it turned out great (added a ton of garlic for that extra garlic breath taste hehe). Lately I have realized that just throwing all the veggies you can find together calls for a great wrap or salad, I haven't enjoyed such fresh homemade random flavors such as these. Mmm it's my latest obsession.

Monday funday.

You know how you completely dread to wake up to work on a Monday morning, 

knowing you have an eight hour shift ahead of you, trying to imagine retired life to make 

yourself feel better... Well that wasn't this kind of Monday for me, however I actually try not 

to let any day feel like that if you know what I mean. I feel like in the business world I have

 learned so much, not only about work, but about others, and how important it is 

to show others you truly care for them. It feels good to know that you can make someone 

else's day by a simple gesture... My manager took me out for dinner today, it was very sweet 

and lovely to spend sometime with her (out of work) laughing and just having a good time.

Then acting silly with marina my new bestie, showing our love for America, it's moments like 

these I want to cherish for life.

 

oh and this was a little something i got my papa for father's day. 

Lazy afternoons.

I love to relax with this cutie. We completely spent the whole day cooking, eating, watching movies, and playing skip-bo with his family (just what I like doing best). I recently discovered what joy it brings to be in the kitchen creating recipe-less foods, and just shuffling favors all around; it's become our recent little hobby.

Tip of the day: always taste twice before adding more salt.

Horses.

I have always been in love with horses, I don't really know what it is, but I feel a connection 

with them; these simple creatures are filled with such adventure. When riding misty I felt so free, 

like my everyday problems had been forgotten (oh boy and I really needed this relaxing moment). 

It's so wonderful to have such amazing friends with such generous hearts. We were able 

to ride free thanks to some great friends. Besides the blisters, scratches, and sore butt, 

I would do it all over again, any day!

He always make my day, he even dedicated the whole day to spend with me... 

So sweet. We made Mexican for lunch, and swam (for the first time this year) in the 

pool while listening to some Frank Sinatra; oh and I have to say, homemade sparkling 

drinks are simply a must on a hot day like today.

Greatful.

Went to bradenton to join Kari jobe singing worship at bayside. 

What a wonderful night. I feel so happy to know God is so real, and to always be reminded of his great glory.

More birthday fun.

Ok I know I haven't been writing lately, I have just been so caught up with celebrating! 

My beautiful sister came down for the weekend to spend it with me and her lovely 4 month old 

baby B. Oh what a joy it was to see the both of them all weekend long! Together we made 

some fluffy pancakes for breakfast and watched a bunch of FRIENDS on the cloudy days. 

That show is my ultimate favorite. We painted our nails, had some girl talk and just did 

all the girly things you could think of. For my birthday I decided to go with a slightly 

different cake; this time I made it myself, an all ice cream cake with coffee ice cream as 

the filling and dark chocolate covered almonds and bananas to top it off. Ohhh yes it was just 

that amazing. Anyways I got to go to another birthday party of a young gorgeous girl named Ali, 

oh what a wonderful gathering it was. I very much did enjoy myself with food, 

friends, presents, laughter. Let me just tell you, this party was peachy keen, and the food 

was fabulous. To top it off the Charles family surprised me with a wonderful carrot cake, 

(my favorite of course) I am just so blessed to have such loving friends. 

It has been such an amazing birthday, I will just say that it was probably the best I have ever had. 

Now that it is all done and over with, I want to do it all over again. Hehe, I mean 

birthdays come only once a year why not enjoy them as much as you can 

(I basically celebrated for 3 days). Oh and now all I can do is wait another year to celebrate all over again. 

Birthday.

What an amazing day. I didn't expect anything at all, and I got a perfect day with the people I love the most! This text before i went to bed made my heart melt and was just the beginning of it all, It all started when I came into work, all my fellow coworkers gathered together and sang happy birthday as I walked through the doors; it was the sweetest thing ever. They all surprised me with gifts and all the wonderful things I love! I am not going to lie, I work with some of the best people I know; so when I got off work I came home thinking of just spending the rest of the day with mark, you know something simple (it's never simple with him lol), well he came over and brought me just the one thing I have been really really wanting... the acqua di gioia perfume; it has the sweetest smell and has become my new favorite (let me tell you, this man spoils the life out of me, whether it's his sweet words,gestures, or gifts). 

I know people say that your dream guy is not real, and you will never find a perfect man in this world, but I beg to differ, I found mine, and girls don't stop believing; he is just wonderful. Ok now I'm getting off topic, hehe well my not so simple day became just splendid; my whole family got together and started cooking mouth watering lobster tails, mussels and all sorts of yummy food. All hands in, let me tell you my family can cook! We cooked the seafood in this dry white wine which was tiptop. Everything was so full of flavor, I was amazed of how wonderful everything tasted (thanks to mark, who came up with the whole idea). I now get to go to sleep with a satisfied belly. I'm a happy camper, and love my family.

Wowzer.

Its nice to have sometime to myself, and just do absolutely nothing stress and worry free. These pictures were snapped from Sunday afternoon, as you can see it was very laid back and relaxing, just watching some tv with smokey, my smarty pants baby (pit-bull, who is not much of a baby, who is three and a half, weighing about 90 pounds, but I still call him my little baby). Besides this cutie mark and I decided to blend up some delicious homemade smoothies made from mangos, nectarines, ice, lemon juice, and a little touch of brown sugar to top it off. yum yum yum! I love me some smoothies.

Did you see the ring around the sun today? It is actually called a 22 degree halo. According to NASA, the ring appears when high thin clouds blanket over most of the sky; the clouds contain milllions of tiny ice crystals, each of which acts like a miniature lens, and create a halo. How neat, and it was quite beautiful, I was happy to have seen it, my mon called me while I was at work and said, "run outside and look at the sky and hurry I don't care if you have customers, just do it." my mom is so cute, I love her; she always calls me for the most random things, but I was grateful she ringed me then because I got to see this amazing beauty.

Well I ended my day celebrating Tanya's (well its really tony, I have just called him Tanya since I can remember), birthday! This kid has grown up so fast, and towers over me today; happy birthday Tanya!

Let it pour.

The rain has been so strong all day, leaving me to spend my day indoors. This kind of rain reminds
me of Washington, where I was raised; and which I miss very much. Sometime i do pray for rain
like this, it is just so beautiful and refreshing. Its was the perfect day for some warm home cooked
 broccoli and cheese soup, and my mail to open, and finally i received my invite to my beautiful
friend Cat and her fiancé Aaron's wedding. The invites are completely simply precious, and I'm
 overjoyed to be attending the glorious day that they will be exchanging their vows. Love is in
the air, and to top it off I got to spend the rest of the day doing what I love most, sketching.
